Ragyard x agnès b. and Electric Retro Spectrum's concert!
It was during a trip to London few months ago that agnès b. discovered this small family brand located in Brick Lane. Ragyard’s creators love to create, travel, discover, explore new cultures through designs and textiles, find inspiration in the people around them. They buy the best vintage pieces that they bring back to life... a unique way to reduce waste and express their creativity! ... so many common points with agnès b. who very quickly decided to offer this small English and family brand its Street shop on 4 rue du Jour!
And on June 21st, from 7 to 9pm, concert of Electric Retro Spectrum (band signed by Born Bad Records and playing on July 6 at the Astral Festival)… for the music festival!

The schooner Tara is in London, focusing on microplastics on the Thames
10 rivers will be studied by the Tara Ocean Foundation to understand the origins on land of plastic pollution in the oceans. Objectives? Where does plastic waste originate? How does it arrive in the Ocean? Where should we concentrate our efforts to stop the flow of this waste? What impacts do plastics have on marine biodiversity? Recent estimates find that 80% of plastic waste found at sea originates on land. The Tara Ocean Foundation has been involved in this research since 2010. Now it is urgent to explore and identify the flux of plastic waste from land to sea in order to stop it. The upcoming Mission Microplastics 2019 — with the CNRS in charge of scientific coordination — will take the schooner Tara through several regions in Europe for 6 months, exploring 10 major European rivers. The Thames is the first river studied by the scientists. Tara will be docked in Sint Katharin’s Marina from the 11th to the 13rd of June 2019.
agnès b. and Auto Body are pleased to present auto b., a group show featuring eight artists and designers at the agnès b. Galerie Boutique. The installation will include the work of Dana Davis, Nathaniel de Large, Kevin Evans, Juan Jose Heredia, Valerie Kamen, Hayley Martell, LQQK Studio, and Marion Vallerin and will be on view from June 6 – August 25, 2019.
In the playful and collective spirit of the age-old drawing game, ‘cadavre exquis,’ each New York-based artist and designer has been given a letter from which to create a work. While each participant works in varying scales and mediums of graphic design, sculpture, screen-printing, painting, and textiles, the collection of assembled works come together to spell out Auto Body’s namesake.
In addition to the show, a limited edition tee-shirt collaboration between agnès b. and Auto Body and hand silk screened by LQQK Studios will be available for purchase.
Films on the Green
agnès b. is pleased to support Films on the Green again this summer! With screenings on Friday nights in and around NYC parks from May 31 - September 3, the 2019 lineup focuses on female directors in French and Francophone cinema through a selection of 13 movies. This 12th edition pays tribute to Women Behind the Camera in honor of Agnès Varda, feminist filmmaker and pioneer of the French New Wave, who passed away earlier this year.
This year's selection highlights the diversity of French and Francophone cinema, featuring movies from Lebanon, the Ivory Coast, Mexico and Turkey, and shines a light on well-known woman filmmakers as well as emerging ones.
Films on the Green is a free outdoor French film festival produced annually in New York City parks by the French Embassy, FACE Foundation and NYC Parks. For the complete line up, dates, and location, visit Films on the Green 2019.

Flowers, Martin Parr
For this year’s Parcours Saint Germain, under the theme of La Fleur de l’Art, agnès b. has the pleasure to show photographs by Martin Parr, an artist whose work was exhibited early on at the Galerie du Jour. The photographs, all on the subject of flowers, were taken from agnès b.’s personal art collection.
Among the themes dear to the iconic British photographer are food, travels, couples, and especially flowers. In 2001, agnès wrote, “It was during 2-3 years that Martin Parr showed me his photographs of flowers. The flowers in life, the “consolation” flowers to make it perhaps more cheerful?”
A catalogue of Martin Parr’s Flowers published by agnès b. will be available during the exhibition.
